Individualized learning

How about an environment that encourages, engages and helps you succeed? Or a diverse curriculum that appeals to every kind of learner? Every student deserves it; ARISE students actually get it. Our mentors carefully place each student according to their academic strengths and then help them build an individualized learning plan based on their goals and interests.

Incredible teachers

Our teachers are all highly qualified. All of our teachers are licensed in Wisconsin. ARISE teachers are specifically licensed in the areas they teach; they are experts in their classes. This allows us to provide for the highest standard of education you will find in any classroom online or off.

A rigorous curriculum

Essentials. It's a well-rounded curriculum. Our core courses help students nail the essentials of language, math, the sciences and social studies, while improving skills like reading comprehension and problem solving.

Specialized coursework. There are vocational and college prep classes, honors and advanced placement courses to help students prepare for their future.

Exceptional Electives. The ARISE course catalog with exceptional offerings too. Courses that encourage students to explore include critical thinking and parenting, creative writing, law and order, computer science and many others.

An esteemed program

Our online program is widely respected, and the Janesville School District has been nationally recognized. That means a transcript from the ARISE Virtual Academy is as transferable—and as widely accepted—as a transcript from any traditional public middle or high school in Wisconsin.

We are among Wisconsin's best schools. So you'll graduate with a diploma that can take you anywhere: Wisconsin state universities, private institutions, leading technical and vocational programs, and Ivy League colleges throughout the nation.

Note: Course offerings are at the discretion of the Janesville School District. Availability is not guaranteed, and offerings may change over time as we assess the needs of our student body.
